Worshipping at the Mountain of Corpses

‘Reporting Religion’ BBC Radio 1500 hours Sunday 1.27.2008 CE: “for the first time in eight years representatives of the British Muslim community will attend Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD) commemorations. Their previous refusal has fueled charges of ’anti-Semitism‘. Muslim leaders now condemn attempts to ‘minimize the death toll’. They say they are ready to recognize The Holocaust as ‘a significant event in world history‘ but do not agree with the official assessment it is ‘a unique event in World History‘. They want the Day to also ‘remember the genocides in Bosnia and Rwanda.' ”
FROM LIFE GIVER TO DEATH CULT: When did the faith of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, a life-celebrating belief in a G-d of Creation & possibilities, dumb-down into a ghoulish body-count? When Moses the Law-giver presented the children of Israel with the choice between obeying the LAW or disobeying he urged them ‘choose life’ (Deut. 30.15-20 esp. v 19). The mystery is why so many descendants of these Exodites now ‘choose’ to worship death.
POST-HOLOCAUST LIFE: Let us place HMD in context. Following the Second European Civil War (1933-45) the Western Allies made it an article of faith that the war against German fascism was waged to save European Jewry from annihilation. A direct result of that war of salvation saw established three short years later a Homeland for survivors in Palestine, a new State of Israel. For this reason every State visitor, from president to king, is required to worship at Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial soon after arrival. Refusal to do so would terminate a visit. Why?
HOLOCAUST DENIERS: To reject the Holocaust is to negate the reason for the modern Israel. To negate the modern Israel is to wish a repeat of the Holocaust. The ’unique event’ and the modern State are inextricably linked. But why extend this death-worship to other countries like Britain? Holocaust Memorials now exist across Europe. These are often tax-payer funded, part of the West’s genuflection to their war-debt to the Shoah. A second, unspoken, article of faith is that ’European governments, including the US, could have saved the Jews but refused to’. For this reason the West & the US ‘owe’ the modern State. Anything they do for Israel is only what can be reasonably expected.
MODERN ISRAEL: How did the Chosen’s faith, when placed in the modern State, devolve from worship of One True G-d into a continual death ‘commemoration’ summed up in the Zionists sad, hideous refrain: ‘Never Again!’ A people who don’t remember their past have no future but to dwell only in death is to dress our children in flagellated flesh of corpses. How is this a future?
DEATH-EATERS: The popular book and film series Harry Potter has as enemies of Harry a death-worshipping cult ’The Death-Eaters’ lead by wizard, Lord Voldemort. In contrast to these old black magicians is Harry and his young friends who use ’white magic’. The youth celebrate life and its possibilities; the aged wallow in death & regrets. Similarly, erecting endless ’temples’ to death simply wraps our future in a shroud. Is life to be lived or merely to celebrate death?
DEATH CULT: Across the West a ‘death cult’ proliferates. From ’death metal’ music to ubiquitous ’deaths heads’ on every fashion item from carry bags to shirts, undies & jewellery. Common-place crime of abortion (one in five wimmin has had one) now seeps into the wider culture, poisoning all. Even popular entertainment is contaminated. Once a TV police show, like Adam 12, could simply be about ‘cats in trees‘ & other such mundane police work.
DEATH AS ENTERTAINMENT: Now sole topic of every police drama is ‘CSI‘ - an obsession with serial-killers whose hideous methods of torture & sadism seem only to be limited by the ‘criminal minds’ of the script-writers. From what asylum did they hire these people?! What sad sink-holes of sickness they must be. Rather than employ Hollywood should send them for therapy & spare us their demonic ravings.
IN THE BEGINNING: How did we get here? Some trace it to the Book of Esther . There the Persian Empire’s embattled Hebrews won a great victory over their rivals for power culminating in a massacre that lasted two days & cost the lives of 75,000 innocents whose only crime was they were ‘anti-Semites‘. We still celebrate this bloodbath yearly in our Festival of Purim. But...the book of Esther is the only Bible text to not contain the Name of G-d.
ORIGINS OF POLITICAL ZION: Some question whether this ‘victory’ for political Judaism, with its scheming, plotting and counter-plots, really reflects the Eternal Nature or is an affront to it. Was it from here we began replacing faith in G-d with faith in our own twisted plots, bribes and connivances? Could not the One who parted the Red Sea have found a better way to achieve His purposes than grubby politic intrigue?
FROM ESTHER TO WALL STREET: From the schemes of Esther we see a once great people, a faith people, begin a pattern political manipulation by ’insiders’ right down to the collapse of the Wall Street Sock Market in June 2001, the so-called Dot.Com Bubble and even to the US Sub-prime housing market collapse in September 2007. In all these 'the Big Fish' are never caught. Only some ‘small fry‘ are ever arraigned. This erodes ’consumer confidence’ in the West, confidence that Capital needs to continue.
FEW AGAINST THE MANY: But the greed of the few has outweighed the need for openness and honesty. What’s the connection? Intrigue is celebrated annually at Purim. To survive Western Capitalism requires ‘open disclosure’ not ’backroom deals’. ’Cult of death’, culminating in perpetually kow-towing at Yad Vashem, is not what our life-giving Creator G-d would want. HE’s not honored by negation of life & focus on grubby deals, corpses & a backwards looking culture with no hope of facing challenges in this dangerous, rapidly changing world.
